Preschool Screening

The Cambria-Friesland School District is proud to offer free developmental screenings to any child living in the district that will turn four by
September 1, 2016, or will be three by September 1, 2016. The screening will be held on Monday, February 8th, at the Cambria-Friesland Elementary School.  At the screening, school staff will check your child’s vision, hearing, speech and language, development, pre-academic skills, and motor development.

If your child will be four years old on or before September 1, 2016, you should have received a letter explaining the screening process and a scheduled time for your child’s screening.   If you have a child of this age and you have not already received a letter, please call the Cambria-Friesland Office, 920-348-5135, ext. 158 to schedule an appointment.

If your child will be three by September 1, 2016, you will receive a letter encouraging you to call and make an appointment for your child’s screening.  Please take advantage of this opportunity.   If you would like your child to attend the three year old screening, please call 920-348-5135, ext. 158 to schedule an appointment.  If you have a child younger than 3 years of age and would like them screened or have concerns about their development, please contact Columbia County Birth to three program at 608-742-9227.

CHILDREN:  Do dress warmly for the winter season.  Unless extreme weather conditions exist, you will be going outside during recess.

The school’s student software program, PowerSchool, upgraded the Parent Portal over Thanksgiving break. To access your child(ren)'s grades, attendance, etc., you will need to sign in with your current school issued ID and password at Then select the "create an account" tab, from there you will need to select “create an account” again on the bottom right.  You will be asked to create a new user name and password. Then you will enter your child(ren)'s name and YOUR OLD user name and password for each student. This will now allow you to have one user name and password for all of your children.  Once you sign in the first time with your new user name and password, on the left side you will need to go to email notifications and there will be a box that you will need to check to receive weekly emails. Please feel free to contact Pam Hendrickson at 920-348-5135, ext.158 if you do not know your ID and password, have any questions, or if you are not successful in updating your account.

Court Ordered Documents

Please keep the school informed of any court documents that may pertain to your child, such as child custody, child placement, temporary restraining orders, etc.  Please provide a copy of these documents to Lisa Osterhoff, executive assistant, and they will be placed on file.
